October 12, 2012

Fidelity Investments, a financial services company established in 1946, announced it will build a new data center in the city of Papillion in Sarpy County, Nebraska with construction to commence immediately.  The announcement came from the governor’s office stating it was the first company to take advantage of the new Nebraska Advantage incentives that were passed in the recent 2012 Legislative session.  The announcement indicates an eventual 30 to 35 new jobs created with an estimated $200 million investment in the project.  The facility is expected to be up and running by the Fall of 2014.  The western portion of Sarpy County will be greatly benefited by the extensions of utilities which should accelerate other economic growth in the area, according to Papillion Mayor David Black.
