Nebraska Banks among the healthiest in the country!

A recent article in the Omaha World-Herald tells us that Nebraska place 14 community banks on the list of the healthiest in the country, based on return on assets, charge-offs, expense control, loan growth etc.  The strength of the Midwest was once again considered to be a major factor in why this occurred.  Though not directly unique to the Omaha metro, it does support the stability we have enjoyed in our part of the country.  “People in Nebraska have conservative and realistic attitudes”, according to Roger Heffelfinger, vice chairman of the Gibbon, Nebraska based Exchange Bank.
